Our History

In 2011 BG Innovations Ltd was established by two experienced Automotive Engineers to provide a single source of supply in the UK for the highest quality protective coatings and surface treatments. Being independent of the manufacturers, BGi can therefore select and offer market leading products, and the engineering expertise to support them during application and use by our clients. Our search for the best led us to Sweden, well known for its severe climate and driving conditions, and home to Auson AB, a leading manufacturer of protective coatings since 1928 and with a global footprint primarily in the automotive sector. Other manufacturers have been selected by BGi for their product quality and performance, with the aim of supplying the best possible product range to satisfy specific customer requirements.

Quality, continuous product development, and environmental security are the key drivers in our business, which supports major clients across the breadth of the automotive, rail, aviation and marine sectors. Evidence of this can be found in the references from individual clients.

Chemical specialists Auson have always strived for perfection and have done for over 80 years. As a principal partner of Auson, we can supply their complete range of products which are perfect for a wide range of applications such as automotive market, buses and trucks, railway engineering and the commercial sector to name but a few.

Our Direction

Historically BG Innovations was seen as the development incubator for new products in the “BG” stable of companies; in recent years we identified and launched several new/groundbreaking products with potential for technology transfer into marine, aviation, general industry and even domestic setting.

Since its inception, BG Innovations has worked closely with manufacturers of specialist product sets; due to these close working relationships, we have been appointed to represent several manufacturers in the UK marketplace. A principal partner in this area of our business is Auson AB, of Sweden for who BGI is the principal importer and distributor into the UK, automotive, marine, aviation and military sectors.
